Requirements for a Valid DMCA Takedown Notice

- Full legal name
- Mailing address
- Daytime telephone number
- Valid email address
- Description of the copyrighted work A clear and specific identification of the original copyrighted material you claim has been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
- Location of the allegedly infringing material Exact URLs or direct links to the specific pages, posts, images, videos, or files on CookThatChicken.com that you believe are infringing (e.g., https://cookthatchicken.com/recipe/abc123). General descriptions or broad references are not sufficient.
- Good faith statement A declaration that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Perjury statement A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information contained in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Signature Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name at the end of the notice is acceptable as an electronic signature).

Our Process After Receiving Your Notice
- We will promptly acknowledge receipt of your notice.
- If your submission satisfies all legal requirements, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
- We will inform the user who posted the content that their material has been removed or disabled and provide them with information on how to file a counter-notification pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
- If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material unless we receive formal legal notice from you that you have filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement.
Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. A proper counter-notice must include:
- Your full name, physical address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its previous location on the site
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, the judicial district where CookThatChicken.com is located)
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification
- Your physical or electronic signature

Important Reminders
- Only the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf may file a DMCA notice.
